In Memory Of Mr. Denis Barclay

The Old Brewery Mission and Foundation are deeply saddened by the passing of one of their great friends and supporters and a Patron of Honour in their major campaign, Mr. Denis Barclay, and extend their heartfelt condolences to his wife Ann, his son Grant, his daughter Nancy and his family.

Mr. Barclay understood the importance of helping those in need including of course, Montreal’s homeless men and women. He particularly enabled us to improve programs and services for the homeless women who come to the Mission for help. In fact, the cafeteria at the Patricia Mackenzie Pavilion, the Canada’s largest resource for homeless women, bears the name of Denis’ wife, Ann: La petite cantine d’Ann Barclay.

He will be greatly missed but also fondly remembered.
